I posted a list of helpful web sites for your adopted country project. I also re-posted the part of the Aids activity that we had way back in February that you must include in your adopted country project. Hopefully, most of you did it already--but just in case, I posted it again.
Looking Ahead:
- Adopted Country Project - due Wednesday,May 14th
National AP Exam - Friday, May 16th
Parallel Reading Project - Monday, May 19th - April 28 - May 2nd: Unit 6, chpt. 11 & 12
- May 5 - May 9: Unit 7, chpt. 13
- May 12 - 15: practice AP tests & review

There is a lot going on, so you can't let even one week-end go by without getting some work done. The more you do now, the happier you will be later. And just think--in five weeks you will have finished your first year of high school!!
Happy studying!!Mrs. Carley

Could you please provide a reminder on how to apply the Core Periphery model?
I don't quite understand how the raceing pigs apply to your post, but I LOVE PIGS they are Awesome!
Have a good weekend,

Just like all the models--first provide a visual of the model, then explain the purpose of the model, then describe how your country fits the model and why. Is your country in the core or the periphery? Why? What does that mean?

Racing pigs explanation--we are racing to the end of the semester!!
AS i was working on my adopt a country project this weekend i realized i didn't many if any pictures besides charts and maps for my country, so i was wondering if we were supposed to have any pictures otherthan than maps and charts and model drawings?

The more visuals you have for your project, the more interested I will be! Really, you can receive bonus points for visuals. Look at the guidelines--if you have the basics covered, pictures of people and places from your country can earn bonus points and creativity points. Just remember, no clip art--real pictures only will earn points.
OK
Thank you
