Change of Plans!

I'm afraid that only four of you have read the blog,so we will do ice cream on Tuesday. That way, everyone will know and have a chance to bring toppings and a drink. So for those few of you who keep up with the blog, never fear, we will still have our ice cream party, but we will wait until Tuesday.
Parallel reading project is still due Monday!
See you all tomorrow.

This Week

It's been a really busy week-end for me so I'm just now checking some of your comments. Please don't expect me to tell you how long your project should be!! You have all the requirements so it should be as long as it takes for you to cover each unit thoroughly. Follow the guidelines, unit by unit. The guidelines refer to the content of the Unit. In other words, under religion, when it lists origin and diffusion, that means the origins and diffusion of religion in your adopted country--not the origins and diffusion of religion everywhere.
Your finished project is due WEDNESDAY!!!!
REMEMBER THAT ALL MAKE-UP AND LATE WORK IS DUE TOMORROW!
Remember that tomorrow we will take the first practice AP test. Bring two pencils. You will be taking the 75 question multiple choice portion of the test. It will be timed. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. Hopefully, we will have time to go over it after you finish. On Tuesday, we will continue reviewing by working on FRQ's. On Wednesday you will take another practice multiple choice test. Thursday, we will go over the second test. Friday, you will report to the theater by 7:45A.M. You should be finished between 11:00 and 11:30.
I will have review sessions on Monday and Wednesday after school.
See you tomorrow!

Mid-Week Updates

Tomorrow I will be proctoring one of the AP tests so you will have a sub. Please be on your best behavior and don't waste the day! You will be discussing and watching a video called "Pennies A Day". It's all about microcredit and helping people in Bangladesh to start businesses. You will have a viewing guide to turn in. Thursday and Friday, we will finish the Urban Unit. Keep up with your work and your projects. There is another review session after school tomorrow. I will be back at school in the afternoon. Please turn in any work that you had missing on your progress reports tomorrow. I will check the basket!

For Monday

I hope you are working on your projects. Rainy days are good for project work! Monday, we will finish Unit 6 (chpt. 12). We'll begin Unit 7, chpt. 13, on Tuesday. As you read the chapters, pay close attention to the central place theory, the central business district model, the hierarchy of services, and the city models in chapter 13. We will be filling out model forms for all of these so you may as well get started.

Those of you who are researching African states may want to check this out.
Enjoy your week-end.
