I hope you are working on your projects. Rainy days are good for project work! Monday, we will finish Unit 6 (chpt. 12). We'll begin Unit 7, chpt. 13, on Tuesday. As you read the chapters, pay close attention to the central place theory, the central business district model, the hierarchy of services, and the city models in chapter 13. We will be filling out model forms for all of these so you may as well get started.
Those of you who are researching African states may want to check this out.
Enjoy your week-end.

How are we supposed to apply the CBD and Central Place Theory to our country?
Do we just say weather or not it fits our country, then say why, except how are we supposed to say how the Central pLace heory incorperates into our country, because it is just a hteory about how markets work...
That is an adorable picture! He looks so happy and kind of a mischievous kid.
You apply all the models the same way--You use an illustration of the model or theory, explain it, and then evaluate how the model can be used to evaluate the development of your country. All cities have CBD's. The Central Place Theory can be applied to any country and it's market areas.

Soo..we have to include the CBD model and the Central Place Theory model for our adopted countries?
For the adopted country project..what exactly do you mean by world city models?..under unit 7.
Mrs. Carley for the current events would the headline, Asian bank in food crisis warning, be acceptable for my country Mongolia...?

Articles for the adopted country project must be about your country. In other words, your country must be the main subject of the article not just mentioned.
